vVardis: from WordPress to Webflow, in seven locales

The context

vVardis is a Swiss company working in biomimetic dental science. Its best-known product, Curodont, treats early tooth decay without drilling or anaesthetic. The website speaks to two audiences, patients and professionals, in many different countries.

The website was on WordPress. The goal was to move it to Webflow to make it easier to manage, without losing anything in terms of content or visibility.

My role

I worked with .exd. I handled the migration from WordPress to Webflow, the development of the pages and the SEO work.

The solution

The trickiest part was managing seven different locales, with country variants of the same language: English, German and French for different markets, as well as Italian. Each version has its own addresses and its own hreflang, so Google shows every visitor the right page for their country.

The content for patients and for professionals follows separate paths right from the menu, because the two audiences ask different questions.

With the migration, the SEO was improved rather than simply preserved: new titles and descriptions for every page and language, and structured data (Organization, Product, WebPage) describing the company and its products. This is the foundation for GEO and AEO: it helps ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews give correct answers about vVardis and its treatments.

The result

A website that is easier to manage, organised across seven locales, with better SEO than before and ready to be found and quoted, on Google and in AI answers.
